The materials collected in the book are the result of three years of analytical work by a team of Orientalists. It is devoted to little-known details of the administrative reality of China: its internal policy, leaders, major groups and power clans, the intricacies of their relationships, as well as the main vectors of state strategy. This work was carried out by the authors in China and Hong Kong, despite the ever-present risk of working in the field of topical political topics, which increased due to the events of the “umbrella revolution” in Hong Kong in 2013-2014. Given how complex the subject matter is, this is only the first dive into the deep and far from transparent waters of Chinese politics, the tangled Chinese bureaucratic system. The book examines the main actors in the Chinese political process of the last decade.
