This monograph presents evidence of the increasing prevalence of the dangerous infectious disease leprosy among the world’s political elite. The reasons for this VIP-pandemic include the lack of mechanisms for monitoring the health of government leaders and the disregard by intelligence services of warnings about the reality of the leprosy process. The sources of the materials are publicly available interviews with doctors, descriptions of clinical examinations, test results, excerpts from medical documents, etc.The high social status of the patients requires a clear definition of permissible diagnostic actions in relation to them, especially if a disease is detected that necessitates removal from a leadership position on epidemiological grounds. The helplessness of world intelligence services in countering a new type of biological aggression – “bio-kamikaze” attacks aimed at the targeted infection of government officials – has been revealed. The monograph is intended for a wide medical and political audience to develop measures to eliminate the VIP-pandemic threat and discuss problems of international epidemiological security.
